Moro, Vala (b.1907)

Vala Moro was an Austrian-Hungarian dancer and artist working in Vienna during the 1920s and 1930s. She’s known to have danced at the illustrious Vienna Konzerthaus.

With regards to her artworks, she’s primarily known for a set of ten coloured etchings collectively titled ‘Tanz’ (Dance). These were fairly racy and depicted dancers in various poses. She also produced erotic, and homoerotic, watercolours and etchings.

Her date of death is unknown and she seems to disappear from the records by the 1940s. Perhaps Vala Mora was a stage name.
