This gentle late-19th-century interior scene by Scottish artist George Ogilvy Reid (1851-1928) depicts a lady sitting at a spinning wheel in a sparsely decorated interior. It's exquisitely rendered and officially titled ‘I’ll Sit on my Creepie an ‘Spin at my Wheel’.

Signed in the bottom left and housed within a splendid period frame.

Condition: Artwork presents well. Canvas relined. Light craquelure but the paint is stable. Frame with some light wear.
