Nybo, Poul Friis (1869-1929)

Nybo, Poul Friis (1869-1929)

Poul Friis Nybo is predominantly known for his interiors with many of these featuring women either writing, reading or undertaking crafts. We’ve managed to discover three other paintings that include the lady above so it was probably someone he knew well.

Nybo studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen before attending Kristian Zahrtmann's School. He also travelled to Paris in 1905 and 1907.
