Broch, Alois (1864-1937)

Broch was a fine portraitist that trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. He was raised in Budapest but spent most of his life in Germany. Aside from portraits, he also painted landscapes, street scenes and genre paintings.

During the 1910s and 1920s, many of his works were distributed as postcards and prints. These proved popular and his studio was a hive of activity throughout his working life.
