A fine Dutch still life depicting several apples, oranges and lemons atop an oriental-style cloth on a table.
It’s beautifully rendered with the artist paying particular attention to the light as it falls on each piece of fruit. Dutch painters have a great heritage for creating beautiful still lifes and this artist has clearly been inspired by their forebears.
An inscription on the reverse refers to ‘M De Haas’.
