Wood, Eleanor Stewart (act.1876-1910)

Eleanor Stewart Wood was an interesting painter who adapted her style over the years. Her early work tended to be finer with influence being drawn from the old masters. Several of her works from the late 19th-century depict abundant bouquets, which are reminiscent of 18th-century continental still lifes. Whereas her portraits from the early 20th-century are somewhat looser and more characterful.
