Belgian artist, Edmond De Schampheleer, produced expressive and expansive landscapes imbued with spirited brushwork and atmosphere.
He travelled extensively, including to France where he worked alongside the Barbizon school of painters who were some of the first to truly embrace painting directly from nature.
Today, De Schampheleer is represented in several public collections including the V&A in London.
