Otto Nielsen, Workshop

Otto Nielsen, Workshop

A charming early 20th-century oil on canvas depicting a man sitting in a workshop surrounded by tools. The artist, Otto Nielsen (1877-1959), has captured a quiet moment of focus with expression and a deft touch.

Nielsen was predominantly known for his landscapes but he also produced genre scenes from everyday life.

The painting is signed in the lower right and housed within a frame that’s probably its original.
