A peaceful moonlit harbour scene by Danish painter, Hans Sørensen-Lund (1859-1920). As the moon breaks through a gap in the clouds, the water’s edge is gently illuminated by a channel of light.
Four small buildings are silhouetted along the beach, while in the distance, several sailboats are moored overnight.
The painting is signed/dated in the lower left and housed within a reeded giltwood frame with a decorative foliate border.
