A characterful early 20th-century portrait of an older gentleman in profile with a red necktie.
The use of light and shade is reminiscent of the way 17th-century old masters would use chiaroscuro to add drama. We love his expression and particularly the rogue eyebrow that’s twisting out of place.
He certainly has a fierce look to him.
