Georges Bousquet, Port Scene With Houses & Fishing Boats

Georges Bousquet, Port Scene With Houses & Fishing Boats

A colourful oil on canvas depicting a quaint port in France by listed artist, Georges Bousquet (1904-1976).

Bousquet enjoyed painting coastal scenes and you can easily imagine him sat with a pencil as he sketched the boats throughout the day.

This little scene was probably created quite quickly and his brushwork is vibrant, bold and broad.

The painting is signed in the lower right.
