A charming 19th-century landscape painting depicting a horseback rider travelling through a picturesque wooded area. The artist, George Farrington Hornibrook (c.1843-1882), hailed from Scarborough in Yorkshire and often painted local views with rolling hills and coastal scenes.

The painting is signed in the lower left and housed within a period gilt frame.
