A sumptuous evening landscape with a rich sunset by Swedish artist, Anders Wahlgren (1861-1928).

Wahlgren’s laid back style suits this evocative scene and we particularly love the simple way the trees are reflected in the lake. The composition seems to draw your gaze from the graduated sky on the right, around to the left and then back out beyond the horizon.

The painting is signed in the bottom right.
