This decorative pair of late 19th-century French drawings depict a daybed and commode in the Rococo taste.

Drawings of this nature were vital for furniture makers and those working within the interior design industry. Often, they were produced as lithographs and bound within large folios. These were then shown to prospective customers when discussing a scheme for their home. Here’s an Italian example owned by S.A. Giovanni Bandini of Rome:
