Rural Scene With Shepherds

A charming mid-19th-century rural scene depicting two shepherds herding their flock along a well-worn countryside track.

We particularly love the strip of light that illuminates the dog and sheep towards the foreground. While an overhanging canopy provides shade for the shepherds and remaining animals.

The painting is housed within a beautiful foliate frame with swept corners.
