    A beautiful Russian school landscape depicting several figures transporting goods through a snow-covered wintery landscape. The artist, V Federoff, has loosely daubed in the snow with its various highlights and deftly created the trees with some simple well-placed marks.

    We particularly love the various layers in this chilly rural scene - with the details becoming obscured as your eye looks further into the distance.

    The painting is dated and signed in cyrillic in the lower right. Housed within a 19th-century gilt frame.
