A light-filled summertime landscape depicting a woman feeding chickens outside a small farmhouse. The paint is applied with daubs from a broad brush and perhaps the artist worked ‘en plein air’.
We particularly love the opening on the right-hand side, which provides a view across to a distant woodland.
The painting is signed GJ Delfgaauw in the lower right, so its probably by a follower of Gerardus Johannes Delfgaauw (1882-1947).
