Ernst Ludwig Von Aster was a German artist predominantly known for scenes with animals traditionally associated with hunting. His style was broadly traditional and underpinned by accomplished draughtsmanship. He hailed from the historic mountain town of Goslar and trained in both Weimar and Berlin.
