Stage, Mads (1922-2004)

Mads Stage was a versatile Danish painter and illustrator. His works often depict a range of naturalistic subjects including birds, flora, and animals but also architecture and figures. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen under Erik Clemmensen.

Born in Østerbro, Copenhagen to Carl Sechmann Stage and Gora Petersen.

1941-1946

Enrolled at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen and studied under Erik Clemmensen.

1945

Exhibited at Charlottenburg Palace.

1947

Exhibited at Charlottenburg Palace.

1949

Married Agnete Bundsgaard.

2004

Died in Bisserup in southern Zealand, Denmark.
