(Mary) Louise Parker was an English artist predominantly known for domestic genre scenes. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she spent most of her life in London living with her family. She was surrounded by creatives - her father and two of her brothers were writers, her older sister, Winifred, was a professional singer, and her younger sister, Ethel, became a music teacher.
Little is known about her artistic career aside from two of her works, ‘Thoughts’ and ‘A Daughter of Toil’ being shown at the Royal Society of British Artists.
