Hagemann, Oskar (1888-1985)

German artist Oskar Hagemann is predominantly known for his spirited portraiture but he also produced still lifes and landscapes. He studied at the Karlsruhe Art Academy where he later became a teacher.

Admitted to Wilhelm Trübner's master class.

Exhibited in Munich and Baden-Baden.

1912

Residing in Karlsruhe with wife Gertrud "Gertel" Stamm-Hagemann, an artist.

1917-1920

Residing in a castle at Sommerau, Germany, with his family.

1942-1944

Taught at the Karlsruhe Art Academy.

1951

Returned to live in Karlsruhe.

1984

Died in Karlsruhe, Germany.
