Pieter Caspar Christ was a Dutch painter of naturalistic landscapes. With his feet firmly grounded in the past, his works are imbued with naturalism in homage to the great Dutch masters.
He was trained by his father Johannes Franciscus Christ (1790-1845) and quickly developed a precocious talent for draughtsmanship. The museums at Nijmegen and Arnhem hold examples of his work.
