Cachoud, Francois Charles (1866-1943)

Francois Charles Cachoud was born in the Savoie region of France and attended the prestigious École des Beaux Arts in Paris. He’s predominantly known for his landscapes, particularly nocturnes and atmospheric evening views.

He exhibited regularly at the Salon in Paris until 1940 and won a gold medal at the Paris Universal Exhibition of 1937. Several of his works are held in museums including the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Chambéry.
