DESCRIPTION

A beautiful print entitled ‘Two Nymphs Beside A Stream’, which is a cut-down version of John William Waterhouse’s (1849-1917) ’Nymphs Finding the Head of Orpheus’.

Waterhouse studied at the Royal Academy and was influenced by the concepts and attitudes of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. His works often portrayed women from ancient mythology who were underpinned with a deep sense of tragedy or power.

We always try to source frames that are appropriate for the age of the painting but can also provide contemporary alternatives if you prefer.
