A stipple engraving by Francesco Bartolozzi, R.A. engraver to His Majesty, after a portrait by Sir Joshua Reynolds. Lady Anne Bingham (1767 - 1840) was the daughter of Charles Bingham, the 1st Earl of Lucan. Her sister, Lavinia Bingham, married the 2nd Earl of Spencer and the Spencer family have retained the original portrait by Sir Joshua Reynolds in their private collection.

The engraver, Francesco Bartolozzi (1728 - 1815), was born in Florence and came to England in 1764. From his studio in London, he produced over 2000 fine stipple engravings - many of which feature classical or allegorical subjects.
