RESERVED - The Country House [Horace Overton Jones]
A late 19th century countryside scene depicting a large property, a lady and child, several chickens, and a distant church.
Horace Overton Jones (b.1856) was an accomplished artist and the youngest son of well-known Staffordshire potter, George Jones. Horace would often create floral designs for his father’s work and these were monogrammed with ‘H.O.J’.
Two of his paintings are currently owned by a museum in Staffordshire.
