An excellent portrait of a man wearing a white shirt, black waistcoat, brown jacket and red neckerchief. The artist, Birket Satterthwaite, exhibited between 1920 and 1930, including three appearances at the Royal Academy.
This particular painting has a partial label on the reverse from the Manchester Art Gallery.
