This impressive Clyde steamer sailed the west coast of Skye and dates to the 1930s. Aside from her main cargo duties, the Lochmor was also employed for cruises and tourist trips. Her skipper, Captain “Squeaky” Robertson, was well-known locally for his high-pitched Highland voice.

John Nicholson is a highly collectable marine artist with works featuring on postage stamps, postcards and in several shipping magazines. His interest in paddle steamers began at an early age and extended throughout his life. Even in his 80s, he still enjoyed climbing aboard and sailing around the islands.
