An atmospheric oil on canvas depicting a sailboat being partially lit by the moonlight. It’s a beautiful little continental painting that seems to be enhanced by the worn look of its frame.
There's a stamp on the reverse from the canvas supplier, "L. Bourdillon, 56 Rue de Rennes, Paris" and it's signed in the bottom right.
|Medium||Oil on canvas|
|Size including frame||16⅓” x 11⅔” / 41.5cm x 30cm|
|Year of creation||
c. 1900 - c. 1930
|Condition||The artwork has a few minor losses but no major issues. It could do with a clean but, in our opinion, it looks better the way it is. The frame has several losses but holds together well.|
