John Corser [Roger Kirkpatrick]
An excellent Regency family portrait of John Corser (1787 - 1822) - the son of George and Martha Corser, the Lord and Lady of the Manor of Bletchley.
John settled in the town of Whitchurch, Shropshire, with his wife Anne and became a successful attorney. Several of the Corsers were well-respected solicitors and his son, George Sandford Corser (b.1819), also went on to practice law.
In 1811, this oil on canvas by Roger Kirkpatrick depicts John at age 24. It’s one of four Corser family portraits currently available at Brave.
