A mid-20th century depiction of an urban landscape in Winter by Swedish artist, Gotthard Sandberg (1890-1961).
Sandberg was the son of a blacksmith and became a highly regarded landscape painter. Having studied in Paris, he went on to exhibit extensively and his work is held at the Malmö Museum and Ystad Museum in Sweden.
The painting is housed within what appears to be its original frame.
