Deer Park [Richard Neilsen]
A beautiful impressionistic oil on canvas by listed Danish artist, Richard Nielsen, that captures a relaxing view from the middle of Copenhagen’s Deer Park. In the foreground, five deer quietly graze, while on the horizon you can see the impressive stature of the 'Kings’ Hunting Lodge'.
The Lodge is a well-known, historic building that formerly held exquisite banquets for the King’s loyal followers and friends. A fully-dressed table, stocked with meats, wines and various regal delicacies, would rise from under the floor to the delight of those lucky enough to be in attendance.
