Chubby Putto

Regular price £149.00

A mid-century depiction of a chubby putto in a style that’s reminiscent of the Baroque period. It’s an unusual piece given its palette, which is almost monochromatic.

The artist, who was clearly influenced by some of the old masters, has used dark earthy hues to create an interesting sense of drama.

With eyes wide open and wild hair in tangles, the putto swiftly glances back at us across his left arm.
