Heinrich Rüter (1877-1955)

Heinrich Rüter was born in Hilden, Germany, and studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. He’s primarily known for his murals, frescoes and mosaics that adorn many of the churches in Rhineland and Westphalia.

His oil paintings occasionally appear at auction and a work entitled ‘Loading the camel train’ sold at Christie’s in 2011 for £2,125.
