Mrs Beeton's Desserts & Vegetables

Regular price £95.00

DESCRIPTION

A colourful pair of framed antique prints from ‘Mrs Beeton's Book of Household Management’.

Isabella Mary Beeton (1836-1865) is often referred to as the original domestic goddess. Her extensive guide on how to run a Victorian home was originally published in 1861 and contains advice on selecting produce, cooking, and general household duties. By 1868, it had sold over two million copies and it remains in print today.

These particular prints are original antiques from either the 1909, 1912 or 1915 publication. They display a selection of desserts and vegetables, including vanilla creams, a Russian charlotte, and Brussels sprouts.

Framing

If the images display the artwork framed, then the frame is included in the price. For those that are unframed, we can handle the framing for you should you wish. We always try to source frames that are appropriate for the age of the painting but can also provide contemporary alternatives if you prefer. You only pay for the cost of the actual frame (usually £30 - £50) as we include the labour for free.
