Jensen, Arup (1906-1956)

Danish painter, C. Arup Jensen, specialised in marine scenes - with a particular focus on the harbour at Copenhagen. He studied at the Royal Academy and worked during the early to mid-20th-century. His works tend to be characterised by crisp lines and calm atmospheres.

In 2004, an oil on canvas depicting several vessels in a harbour was sold through Christie’s.
